One of Mendy’s greatest joy’s in life is music. He plays piano, keyboard and guitar.
A successful one-man-band and singer for over ten years, Mendy’s style is synonymous
with lively music at a comfortable decibel. He plays at weddings, bar mitzvas, vorts,
shevah brachos etc. Many simchas end with his trademark kumzitz. Mendy has given music
lessons to hundreds of children. He has created an original teaching methodology that
has students begining to play a song by the end of the first lesson. He believes that
learning to play an instrument should be fun and rewarding. Mendy has a home studio
available for small music projects. He has engineered an eclectic array of productions.
For example, a boy who wished to give out a unique party favor recorded himself singing
and handed out copies of his own CD at his bar mitzvah. Another client wanted to send a
personalized get well present for a friend. Of course, Mendy has done more typical
projects like camp productions and demo CD’s. Mendy produced his own album a few years
ago. Entitled Hodu LaHashem, the CD has eleven tracks composed, and sung by Mendy.
Yisrael Lamm did the musical arrangements.
Mendy resides in Brooklyn, NY with his wife and three children.
